Mini Guide: Talent Points and Personalities

From Horse Academy Wiki
Jump to: navigation, search

The Personality of a horse can be found by going to the "Personality and Talent Points" tab on the horse's information tab (found under the horses-your horses tab (after you select a horse), or inside the barn when you visit a horse, can also be found for horses in the Buy/Sell tab after viewing a horse). Talent Points are found on the sub tab "Talent Points" after selecting the "Personality and alent points tab". For more general information, visit the Main Guide sections on Talent Points and Personality.

Different personality/talent point placement combinations are used for different aspects of the game. Common abbreviations are found in () next to the full names. The following are popular personalities based on race type:

Championship Racers:

Common Personality Types for Championships

RLLLR, RLRLR and RRLLR for Championships with Jumps

RLLRR and RRLRR for Championships without Jumps

  • ➜Note: Stubborn/Adaptable personality has no effect on the horse's performance in races. Either one may be used.

Talent point placement by level (many experienced players may have a personal preference as to where to put the Talent Points at certain levels. This is only one common way):

Ideal placement when born with 12 Talent Points

2 Super Speed (SS), 2 Acceleration (AC), 2 Distance runner (DR), 2 Fast Finisher (FF), 2 Control (C), 2 Big Racer (BR)

Common order of placing the talent point earned every five levels

Lvl 5: SS

Lvl 10: AC

Lvl 15: DR

Lvl 20: FF

Lvl 25: C

Lvl 30: BR

For levels after 30, you can place tps from level 35, 40 and 45 into Top Breeder if you wish to use the horse for breeding. If you do not wish to use the horse for breeding, you can place down tps after level 30 in boxes depending on if the horse is a flat racer or a jumper. For Flat Racers, add tps from level 35, 40 and 45 into All Terrain. For Jumpers, add tps from level 35, 40 and 45 into Jumper. On Jumper BRs, you can also add level 50, 55 and 60 tps into All Terrain.

  • ➜Note: Flat Racers should under no circumstances have Jumper tps.

For levels after 30, you can place tps from level 35, 40 and 45 into Top Breeder if you wish to use the horse for breeding. If you do not wish to use the horse for breeding, leave the remaining tps unplaced - this personality type has no use for other tps.

  • ➜Note: Flat Track Bullies should under no circumstances have Big Racer tps.

  • ➜Note: Flat Track Bullies should under no circumstances have Big Racer tps.

Showjumpers:

Horses only depend on two things to excel at Showjumping: an Unpredictable personality, and Showjumper talent points. The remaining personality bars and talent point boxes have no effect on a horses showjumping performance. As such, this section is for horses used in both showjumping and normal racing.

Common personality types for Showjumpers

LLRLR

Ideal Placement when born with 12 talent points

2 Super Speed (SS), 2 Acceleration (AC), 2 Distance Runner (DR), 2 Jumper (J), 2 Control (C), 2 Showjumper (SJ)

Common order of placing the talent point earned every five levels

Lvl 5: Super Speed

Lvl 10: Acceleration

Lvl 15: Showjumper

Lvl 20: Distance Runner

Lvl 25: Jumper

Lvl 30: Control

For levels after 30, you can place tps from level 35, 40 and 45 into Top Breeder if you wish to use the horse for breeding. If you do not wish to use the horse for breeding, you can place tps from level 35, 40 and 45 into Fast Finisher.

  • ➜Note: Because this personality and talent point combination is typically used for both Showjumping and normal jump races/jump time trials, you should note that that the Showjumpers will be a little slower than their non-showjumper counterparts. This is due to the Fast Finisher tps lacking on Showjumpers for the first while.
