Mini Guide: Training

From Horse Academy Wiki
Jump to: navigation, search

This is a Training guide, going over the aspects of training for others in the game. Training for others on Horse Academy is very useful, being a good way to earn some extra cash, horses or AD. Training is taking on someone else's horse, with a contract and levelling it to the agreed upon level.

If you are new to training, the first thing recommended doing is levelling a few of your own horses, such as to L1-10, L1-15, L1-20 and so on.

Levelling your own horses first is a good idea, as you will be able to see how long it takes you to level the horse to a specific level. This is very important as some people may want training done fast while others may be more lenient on the time. Not only will you see how long it takes you but the more people see you around the game, the more likely people are to take you on as a trainer.

If you do not have a reputation yet, you can always ask a well-established player if you can train some low levels for them(L1-10, L1-15) and gain a reputation. Once you have started to gain a reputation, you can slowly go up with the levels. Doing this allows you to build a reputation along with learning the game and what your limits are.

Some things to remember:

  • Always have the horse on contract.
  • Train the horses' attributes when going up the levels.
  • Do not take on a horse to a level that you cannot get to at the agreed time. (Life does happen though so if you go over time, you can return it with an apology and ask the owner if you can continue and put a new contract on.)
  • Do not rename or breed to the horse without the owner's permission.
  • Always place the Talent Points where they have been asked to be placed.
  • Keep the player informed on how the levelling is going.
  • Most players will pay once the training is finished or they will pay half when the horse is halfway done and the other half when the horse is finished.

Are there ways you can make training a horse easier/quicker?

  • Have a Training Facility, Swimming Pool or a Trainer Jockey.
  • Be part of Academy Club( 10-second waiting time instead of 20, your horses are always ready to race)
  • You can pay for carrots, which cost 10AD(5AD with the Hay Barn), giving the horse a 15% XP Boost. (IF you wish to spend AD)
  • Entering Local SJ is very useful after L20 as you get a 50% XP boost and 200% if you beat the quickest time.
  • Buying a 5min XP boost for 20m or a 2hr boost for 40AD is useful too. (IF you wish to spend some extra money or AD)
