Chat Rules

Visit the chat room by clicking on the chat bubble icon on the bottom left side of the screen. This will open up the Chat Room. The purpose of these rules is to ensure a positive and safe environment(reason behind rules 1-7) as well as good "flow" of conversation where players can communicate easily with each other (reason behind rules 8-10). To help with communication, please use English in chat. Keep in mind, mods may speak in short phrases in other languages to let players know to use a translator. The goal with these rules is to make everyone feel welcome and create a happy, helpful chatroom. If you break any of the following rules repeatedly, based on the guidelines given to the mods by the owner, you may be subject to an immediate 24-hour ban from the chat with no warnings. Repeat offenders may be permanently banned from the game and the forums.

• 1. No swearing
• 2. No Dating, no over the top sex talk. This is a PG-13 rated game. Remember, PG-13! (think the first 2-3 seasons of The Simpson's)
• 3. No Bullying. This will not be tolerated for any reason. This includes harassment, posts aimed to cause a fight or obviously to hurt a person. Take your bad day out of chat!
• 4. No discussion or referring to Religion or Politics.
• 5. No Outside Links. None.

a)The only exceptions are links back to the HA Forums, the HA Community page, this Wiki, or to the HA Blog.

• 6. No cloning, hacking, using or discussing game 'cheats'. Exploitation of glitches/bugs are also not allowed and may result in disciplinary actions. This is not only disrespectful to the game and its creator but also illegal!

a)This also includes taking exorbitant advantage of a game glitch which allows you to gain items which otherwise would mean real money for the owner. Expect a permanent ban.

• 7. No asking for personal information, such as address, phone numbers, age etc. Protect yourself by not answering these requests!
• 8. No chat auctions. There is an auction function built into the game, and you can use the Forums, or the Facebook Buy/Swap/Sell page
• 9. No advertising for other games, especially those in clear competition with Horse Academy.
• 10.No repeated begging/advertising of buying or selling. Limit your "Ad" to one per chat page or one per five minutes (whichever comes first).
• 11. Exceptional Circumstances. In exceptional circumstances we may decide it necessary to remove chat privileges from a user or to remove them from the game entirely for reasons that are not explicitly stated elsewhere in the rules. The reasons for this are entirely at our discretion. Examples of this may include (but are not limited to) significant harassment of staff or other users, manipulation / grooming of individuals or bringing the game into disrepute.
• 12. Trigger Topics and handling Crisis situations: Whilst we want to be a caring supportive community, talking about some specific graphic details of events in real life may be a negative trigger for other users. Please think about how others will feel when talking about accidents, injuries, abuse, mental health and loss. We would prefer users suffering with these issues to seek professional help. Moderators: Moderators are players who were chosen by the game creator(Andrew Starnes) to help players and ensure that all rules are being followed. The color of their text is different than the standard white of normal players. They have the ability to remove you from chat and from the game for any period of time. Typically, they will warn you if you are being disrespectful or breaking rules. If you do not heed this warning, you can be removed from chat/banned from playing. The moderators have the final say about who is breaking a rule.
