Chat Trade Options

In trade, there are many available actions including; for buying/selling horses, for sending a horse away to be trained or youthed (always put a contract), for giving or receiving gold coins, and to speak to other players in private.

How to trade Horses

If you would like to trade, it is always polite to first ask who you are wishing to trade. It is polite to ask as there are many reasons why that user might not accept: it can disrupt races or SJ, they do not have a reason to want to trade, they are busy etc. Once you have asked and gotten an ok from the person you wish to trade with, you can select their name on the right side of chat and select Trade.

➢ Contracts

Contracts are a way of guaranteeing a horse’s return once the contract expires. The contract feature was designed to be used for several reasons that include: to send horses away for training, to allow another user to use a mare or a stud for breeding, or to allow horses to be used for Championships. When giving a horse out on contract, the receiving player can not change appearance, sell or vacation/donate the horse.

In order to use the contract feature, select No Contract (under the horse picture). Here you have a few options for length of contract:

  1. 1 day
  2. 2 days
  3. 5 days
  4. 1 week
  5. 2 weeks (longest possible time)

★ Note: A horse on contract can be returned to the owner early. You must trade with the horse owner. In trade, the owner of the horse hits “accept” first, then the player who had the horse on contract can hit accept. If the “complete trade” confirmation does not appear, each player can type in “1,000” into the Gold Coin bar, and the trade will be completed.

★ Tip: You can charge players money for borrowing your horse on contract. Make sure they pay you first. Ie. 100k per day. Keep the charge low so that your players become return customers!
